I find myself enveloped in a constant haze of laundry lately. I seem to wash 8 loads a weekend (I wash... I don't necessarily fold and put away), and then it seems like there is miraculously another 8 loads to wash the following weekend. With all of the clothes, towels and rugs that I wash, I realized that I've never washed Caden's teddy bear. One might think that a teddy bear doesn't need to be washed, but that person is most likely not a parent. Teddy bears sleep in cribs where babies drool, spit up, and have the occasional leaky diaper. Therefore, Teddy should probably make a weekly visit to the ol' washer and dryer. As I prepped Teddy for his new experience, I realized I wasn't sure that I actually could wash him in the machine. Is it possible? Is it safe?
So with fingers crossed, I snapped what could have been T's last photo and in he went.
Turns out teddy bears do quite well in the wash. Other than loosing the strings that define the toes of his paws, he came out perfectly :) Just one more thing to check off on the "things I learned as a first time mom" list.
